Earlier this week, TechnoLawyer published its
predictions for 2008. Prediction #3: "Web applications inch towards
greater acceptance."
Inch? More like leap — at least with regard to Bill4Time, the
Web-based billing application for Windows and Mac users that has
attracted many TechnoLawyer subscribers in recent months.
Because most law firms start their fiscal year in January, we
witness many migrations to Bill4Time this time of year.
One question we often receive from law firms that switch to
Bill4Time goes something like this:
"Bill4Time looks great, but can it integrate with QuickBooks?
BILL4TIME NOW INTEGRATES WITH QUICKBOOKS ..
By popular demand, Bill4Time now integrates with QuickBooks Pro and
Premier. For free. Here's how it works:
• Download and install our free utility, Bill4Time QB Connect.
• Once installed, you can seamlessly run your time and billing in
Bill4Time and have all financial information sent to QuickBooks for
accounts receivable, general ledger, accounting, and other financial
functions.
Bill4Time QB Connect adjusts to the way you want to work. For
example, you can track time and create bills in Bill4Time, and
handle all other financial tasks in QuickBooks. Alternatively, you
can do more in Bill4Time and less in QuickBooks.
It's up to you, but regardless of your workflow, QuickBooks will
accurately reflect your firm's bills, accounts receivable, and trust
accounts.
Try Bill4Time now free of charge for 30 days, and check out
Bill4Time QB Connect if your firm uses QuickBooks.
DID YOU MISS THESE ITEMS LAST YEAR? READ THE RECAP ..
New to TechnoLawyer? Or too busy last fall to read our
TechnoReleases? Here's what you missed:
• In October we struck a chord by setting forth what lawyers want
from a billing application — simplicity (get up and running
quickly), overview (see at a glance what's happening with your
matters), and convenience (capture time anywhere on any computer,
Mac or PC).
• In November, we scored points with BlackBerry and Treo users when
we told them about Bill4Time Mobile, which securely and wirelessly
transfers your on-the-go time and expense entries to your Bill4Time
account.
• In December we explained how you can activate and deactivate
Bill4Time accounts for temporary personnel like contract lawyers,
and limit their access. We also explored one of Bill4Time's most
popular features — receiving email updates on your matters.
