How do I adjust a payment?
- Click on the Accounting tab
- Choose the desired client
- You will now see a list of all the credits (payments) and debits (invoice balances) that have occurred.
- Click the desired payment. You should find it by the amount in the Credit column, or by the word "Payment" in the Number column. The payment window will pop-up.
- Click the Edit button
- If the payment was applied to multiple invoices, you should first delete the applied line items. The balance on these invoices are automatically adjusted.
- Adjust the payment amount
- From the Invoice Number column, select the desired invoice
- Enter the desired amount
- Click the add button
- Repeat steps 8-10 for the other invoices you want the payment to apply to
- Close the window when you are done
