Let Me Know If You Agree with These Observations About Time Billing Applications

Contact: Douglas Dweck, Bill4Time
(877) Bill4Time (877-245-5484) | sales@bill4time.com | www.bill4time.com

TechnoLawyer reported on Bill4Time in its TechnoLawyer NewsWire newsletter on July 25th. We didn't know about TechnoLawyer's coverage beforehand, but we sure knew about it afterwards. We'd like to thank those of you who have since begun using Bill4Time in your law practice.

The reaction to TechnoLawyer's coverage speaks volumes about the gulf between what lawyers want from time billing applications and what legal vendors think they want.

SO, WHAT IS IT THAT LAWYERS WANT?

1. Simplicity: Lawyers want to get up and running quickly. They don't want to mess with software installation, and then have to rely on TechnoLawyer's Answers to Questions newsletter when they hit a snag (no offense to TechnoLawyer).

Bill4Time is a secure, Web-based solution. You fire up your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari), login, fill out a few screens, and you're in business. If you change your mind about a setting, modify it anytime. Your change will propagate through the system. You can easily add/remove users as needed.

2. Overview: Lawyers want to see at a glance what's happening with their matters. They don't want to feel lost or try to remember if they recorded a time entry or expense.

Bill4Time's dashboard lists your time entries, expenses, appointments, and matters. Depending on your managerial status, you may also see the matters you're managing and unassigned matters (new business). Even better, you can "subscribe" to a matter and receive email alerts when someone on your team enters time or an expense related to that matter.

3. Convenience: Lawyers wants to spend their time working, not playing around with software (well, they want to spend their time working in the sense that they want to finish their work as soon as possible and leave the office).

Bill4Time works hard to make your life easier. For example, you can edit a time entry anywhere you see a time entry, be it your dashboard, a report, etc. There's no need to click your way back to a certain place to make a change. Features like autofill and spell-checking also save you time.

Bill4Time also works anywhere you do. Use it at home on your Mac (using Firefox or Safari), or on the road on your BlackBerry or Palm OS Treo (using Bill4Time Mobile).

We've just scratched the surface here. Many of Bill4Time's features result from customer feedback. In fact, we've already implemented some new features requested by TechnoLawyer subscribers. When we create a new feature, you see it the next time you login with your browser. There's nothing to install.

SEE IF BILL4TIME HAS WHAT YOU WANT ..

Because Bill4Time is Web-based, you can try it without installing any software. Learn more about Bill4Time now and try it free for 30 days.

Sincerely,

Douglas Dweck
