I am very pleased with Bill4Time, which is an internet based billing service. I am no longer tied to the program on my office computers -- I can bill from anywhere!
I have a small law office, and after using Timeslips for 20 years, I decided to give it a try. With little difficulty and in less than a week, we had converted all of our clients to the new system. In the meantime, i was entering my own time from wherever I was working - home, on the ro blackberry - instead of handwriting my entries, and having my office manager tyad,pe them for me. And the program is super-simple - -I rarely read manuals, and this was no exception -- but the program teaches you as you go -- there is very little that you actually have to go to the very short, easy to read online manual for.
The results? Our bills are ready to go out the First of the month -- because there's no need for me to proof read the entries! I can run and print the bills from anywhere, and because I can enter my time as I go, I am not forgetting about some of the work I have done. What's more, as I enter my time, I can see my daily and weekly totals, and with two clicks of the mouse, I can get monthly reports, showing me how many hours and how much I have billed in each month. For the first time, I am on target to meet my monthly goals, and I can already see the difference in our billing totals!
And the support is great! There is always someone at the other end of the email or phone, and they have not only helped me with learning the program, but with problems with my computers that were preventing me from accessing Bill4Time. And they are eager to please -- I asked that the billing format be modified so it looked more like my bills, and voila! In less than a week, they had written a modification to their program to accommodate my needs.
