From time to time, you probably do work for clients that are billed at a flat rate, rather than hourly. Bill4Time can help!

Create a New Flat Fee Project

  1. From the Dashboard, click on "New Project" from the Project Menu.
  2. Enter your client and project name.
  3. Change the Billing Method drop-down from "Hourly" to "Flat Fee".
  4. A "Flat Rate" field appears below the drop-down, enter the rate.
  5. Enter any additional information and click "Save".

Change a Project from Hourly to Flat Fee

  1. From the Dashboard, click on "Project Database" from the Project Menu.
  2. Click on the project you want to edit the rate for.
  3. Click on the "Edit" button.
  4. Change the Billing Method from "Hourly" to "Flat Fee", then enter the flat rate.
  5. Slick "Save".

Any reports you run will reflect the flat-fee and hourly billing, so you can still see which clients and projects are taking up your time and how much money you are making.
