Setting a User's Permissions

When creating a new user, click on the User Permissions tab to select which areas of Bill4Time they can access and what functions they can perform. To edit the permissions of an existing user:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on "User Management" from the Administrative Menu.
  2. Click on the User you wish the edit.
  3. Click on the "User Permissions" tab.

You can also control which clients each user has access to. This is especially useful for part-time or contract employees who are brought in to work on a specific project or client. You don't have to show them your entire client list! To edit a user's access to clients:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on "User MAnagement" from the Administrative Menu.
  2. Click on the User you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the "Client Access" tab.
  4. Choose either Full Access or Limited Access.

If you choose Limited Access, clear the checkbox next to any clients you do not want that user to have access to.
